Our Matlock to Bakewell house move for local artist David was one of our favourite jobs in June, and we couldn’t resist sharing it as our Move of the Month!
David, a passionate painter, recently downsized from a spacious 4-bedroom home in Matlock to a beautiful 3-bed in Bakewell. But this wasn’t your typical house move. It involved dozens of one-of-a-kind canvases and creative materials that needed extra care from the very beginning.
Two Vans, One Smooth Matlock to Bakewell House Move
To make sure everything ran smoothly, we used two vans for the move:
🎨 One van carried only David’s artwork. We carefully wrapped and secured each canvas and frame so they stayed safe in transit.
📦 The second van handled his household belongings, which we packed and protected with our usual attention to detail.
Our team – myself, Owen, and Matt – worked together from start to finish. We managed the loading, protected each item, and made the transition between homes as seamless as possible.
After a short key wait, we unloaded everything and set David up in his new home. He felt thrilled to be settled in and ready to get back to painting.
